New research from Economist Impact:
From promise to impact: A roadmap for equitable AI in healthcare is a 2025 report by Economist Impact that charts how artificial intelligence can be used to reduce, rather than deepen, entrenched health inequities in the United States. Economist Impact convened two multidisciplinary advisory boards—including ACSILabs’ Neil Sahota and Dr. Lia DiBello, who were honored to contribute their expertise in human–AI collaboration and equity-centered system design. The report introduces the PATH (Progressing AI Towards Health Equity) Framework, outlining four pillars—Inception, Deployment, Engagement, and Outcomes—that together guide stakeholders in building AI systems that are sustainable, empowering, transparent, and accountable to the communities they serve. It calls for proactive equity-by-design, enforceable governance, aligned incentives, and true accountability so that AI becomes a catalyst for fairer health outcomes across the US health
